2020 NBA2K League Season Schedule Released

The 2020 NBA2K League regular season schedule was released on Wednesday, and gives Blazer5 fans their first look at the lineup the league’s winningest team will face during their third year.

As always, the season tips off at the end of March with THE TIPOFF, the season-opening tournament that has tended to set the tone for B5. In season one, Blazer5 made it all the way to the finals of THE TIPOFF before falling to 76ers GC. In season two, they were bumped in group play after going 1-1, their only loss coming on a last-second buzzer-beater vs. Bucks Gaming. Pools & matchups for THE TIPOFF this season have yet to be released.

After a week two bye, Blazer5 kicks off the regular season against the Gen.G Tigers of Shanghai, a new expansion team in the NBA2K League this season. Week 3 sees Blazer5 match up against friendly rivals 76ers GC, before a double header in week 4 vs. Grizz Gaming and season 1 champions Knicks Gaming. Another bye week takes place before a one-game slate in week 6 against Milwaukee. The first half of the season wraps up against Raptors Uprising on May 6th, before the league heads into THE TURN, the midseason tournament Blazer5 won in 2018.

Blazer5 then faces a slate of double-header weeks, starting in week 9 with season 2 champions T-Wolves Gaming & Wizards District GC with their 2020 #1 overall pick JBM. Two bye weeks sandwich a week 11 meeting with Mavs Gaming and Utah Jazz Gaming. In week 13 B5 will see Pistons GT before facing Cavs Legion in the following week.

After the league takes a week off to observe Independence Day, week 16 will switch things up, as Blazer5 will travel to San Francisco to face the other West Coast teams on July 11th, including Warriors Gaming Squad, Lakers Gaming and Kings Guard Gaming. The regular season will conclude with Blazer5 facing Jomar12 PR and the Pacers Gaming team on July 15th.

THE TICKET, a midseason tournament in which the winner wins an automatic bid to the NBA2K League Playoffs, has been moved to the end of the regular season, further details have yet to be confirmed.
