BLAZER5 BRINGS HOME A WIN IN THE TURN TOURNAMENT

Blazer5 Gaming captured their first win in THE TURN tournament on Wednesday, June 21 against Pacer Gaming. The first half of the game was a battle and featured a back-and-forth contest that remained a common trend in the match-up. Blazer5 Gaming was able to apply pressure on Pacer Gaming’s defense with a versatile scoring attack. This effort was led by Claude who finished the match with 30 points, 17 of them coming in the final quarter, and Harby who complemented his effort with 22 points. The backcourt provided a lethal attack that would help propel Blazer5 Gaming to a win over Pacer Gaming. The win showed the team’s ability to devise a strong scoring attack, play great defense, and the ability to come out on top in a tight contest.
The second matchup in THE TURN tournament featured a familiar opponent in Bucks Gaming. Blazer5 had a productive first quarter jumping out to an 18-12 first-quarter lead over Bucks Gaming. They continued this into the half mounting a 11-point lead over Bucks Gaming. In return, Bucks Gaming made some adjustments and figured out a way to challenge Blazer5. Blazer5 featured players with similar stats like Claude who had 22 points and Jomar with a strong 18 points and 9 rebounds. Bucks Gaming would persevere in the end to secure the victory overcoming their first-half struggles.
The final game of the week featured Blazer5 against Warriors Gaming Squad in a tight nit contest. Warriors Gaming jumped out to an early lead of 17-13 over Blazer5. Blazer5 would respond in the second quarter putting up 20 points to make up for their start. The spark was initiated by Claude who recorded 10 points and 5 assists in the quarter. Coming out of the first half the score was 34-33, which would quickly move to a 38-33 lead in favor of Warriors Gaming Squad. Blazer5 responded with dunks of their own from both Claude and Lavish who were hungry for a lead. Blazer5 fought a tough battle in this close matchup which saw Claude with 17 points and 8 assists, KayAus with 16 points and 4 rebounds and Lavish with 11 points and 4 assists.
