Blazer5 Gaming completes trade with Kings Guard Gaming

PORTLAND, Ore. (September 9, 2020) – Blazer5 Gaming has traded Point Guard Nidal “Mama Im Dat Man” Nasser and Shooting Guard Georgio “OOC Slim” Bonte to Kings Guard Gaming in exchange for Point Guard Matthew “Bash” Robles and Center Connor “Dat Boy Shotz” Rodrigues. 

Robles and Rodrigues led Kings Guard Gaming into the 2020 NBA 2K League Playoff Tournament as the fifth seed before falling to 2K League Champions Wizards District Gaming in the quarterfinals.   

Robles averaged 26.2 points, 7.0 assists and 2.0 steals during the 2020 season. He was selected 17th in the first round of 2020 NBA 2K League draft by Kings Guard Gaming.  

Rodrigues averaged 12.1 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.0 steals during the 2020 season and was selected sixth in the third round of the 2018 NBA 2K League draft by Blazer5 Gaming. He played the 2018 season with Blazer5 before being acquired by Hawks Talon GC during the 2018 Expansion Draft, then was acquired by Kings Guard Gaming in 2020.  

Nasser and Bonte were pivotal players in the team’s The TICKET Tournament win, granting Blazer5 Gaming the final spot in the 2020 NBA 2K League Playoff Tournament where they lost to Jazz Gaming in the quarterfinals.  

Nasser averaged 32.2 points, 8.5 assists and 1.0 steals during the 2020 season. He was twice awarded Player of the Week, was named to the Season 3 All-NBA 2K League Second Team and earned The TICKET Tournament MVP this season. In 2019, he was named the league’s Most Valuable Player. Nasser was originally drafted with the 12th pick in the second round of the 2018 NBA 2K League draft by Blazer5 Gaming, where he spent three seasons with the team.  

Bonte averaged 7.8 points. 1.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 54.3% 3P% – the 27th highest in the league – during the 2020 season. He was selected 66th in the fourth round by Blazer5 Gaming during the 2020 NBA 2K League draft.
