Blazer5 Gaming Tips 2019 NBA 2K League Schedule on April 5 with Doubleheader

With an attitude of unfinished business surrounding them, Blazer5 Gaming launches its 2019 NBA 2K League schedule on April 5 with matches against Bucks Gaming and Jazz Gaming.  Portland’s franchise finished last year’s inaugural regular season as the top seed at 12-2; but was eliminated in the first round of the NBA 2K Playoffs by eventual champion Knicks Gaming.

All regular-season NBA 2K League games will take place at the NBA 2K League Studio Powered by Intel in Long Island City, New York; and be livestreamed on Twitch.  Each of the 21 teams will play a 16-game regular-season schedule, plus three in-season tournaments – THE TIPOFF, THE TURN and THE TICKET.  Players will compete for $1.2 million in prize money across the three tournaments and NBA 2K League playoffs.

The Blazer5 Gaming roster includes last year’s NBA 2K League Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year Dayne (OneWildWalnut) Downey at center and team captain Nidal (Mama Im Dat Man) Nasser at point guard.  Last October, Blazer5 Gaming traded its 2019 first-round draft pick to Bucks Gaming for shooting guard Matthew (KinG PerioXide) Hofmann.  Small forward Andron (LavishPhenom) Thomas returns this season; and the team used this month’s draft to grab power forward David (Daveed 3x) Urena from Pennsylvania in the second round (36thoverall); and reclaim multi-position player Jomar (Jomar12_PR) Varela-Escapa from Puerto Rico in the fourth round (71st overall).
