BLAZER5 INVITES BOYS & GIRLS CLUB YOUTH TO GAMING FACILITY AFTER GAME ROOM UNVEIL

PORTLAND, Ore. (July 5, 2023) – Last week Blazer5 Gaming invited Boys & Girls Club youth to their Gaming Facility for a game day watch party and facility tour to further increase youth knowledge and access to esports. The event comes after the collaboration between Xfinity and Blazer5 on May 24 that unveiled a new game room at the Blazers Boys & Girls Club.

“Breaking down barriers of access to esports is an ongoing mission for Blazer5 as we seek to inspire the next generation of professional esports athletes”, said Mikias Yohannes, General Manager of Blazer5. “Our continuous work with Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland Metro has helped us connect with our local youth to address and further enable their interests in technology as well as provide them access to esports as a way to build their own community.”

At the watch party, Boys & Girls Club youth had an in-depth experience in learning about esports as they had the opportunity to meet the Blazer5 players and see them in action at their 4:00 P.M. game. During the game, youth cheered on Blazer5 alongside Trail Blazers mascot, Blaze, as they learned more about NBA2K with General Manager, Mikias Yohannes, providing insight during gameplay. Post-game, Blazer5 celebrated their win with the youth and invited them to tour the Gaming Facility and experience professional esports technology.
