BLAZER5 PLAY 3V3 CHAMPION DUX INFINITOS AND MOVE TO BRACKET PLAY

Last week saw Blazer5 take on 3v3 Champion DUX Infinitos Gaming in a fierce doubleheader and a game with Grizz Gaming to set the tone for TIP OFF Bracket Play.

On May 31, Blazer5 went head-to-head with DUX Infinitos in their first match against each other this season. Q1 showed both teams getting adjusted to each other’s style of play leading to an even result, however, Q2 Blazer5 took advantage of DUX Infintos weaknesses and created a strong lead. Blazer5 kept the pressure on as Claude led the way with 19 points and 10 assists, while Harby also had a strong game after recording 18 points and three dimes. Blazer5’s gameplay led to a 70-66 victory for the team.

On June 2, Blazer5 was set to face DUX Infinitos once more, and each fiercely fought for each point. Halftime saw Blazer5 hang on to their lead with 1 point over DUX Infinitos as the battle continued into Q3 and 4. While Blazer5 clung on for a win, ultimately DUX Infinitos won the rematch 57-66. Claude was a highlight of the match for Blazer5 as he recorded 23 points and four assists.

On the same day, Blazer5 immediately faced off against Grizz Gaming. They started off strong, scoring 32 points in the first half, but ultimately fell victim to a game-altering defensive strategy in the second half. Their performance took a downturn in the third quarter, scoring only 6 points and trailing by 3 points at halftime. Despite a strong Q4 surge with 30 points, Blazer5 couldn’t overcome their rough third quarter, resulting in another disappointing loss.

Nevertheless, the contest between Blazer5 and Grizz Gaming was a fascinating one. Blazer5 now has time to regroup and identify areas that need improvement before their next match against Bucks Gaming Wednesday, June 7. The team will look to their top scorers in the previous matchup, Claude and Harby, to maintain their consistency and deliver strong performances, aiming to lead Blazer5 to victory.
