BLAZER5 TIP OFF 5V5 SEASON AGAINST KINGS GUARD, T-WOLVES AND LAKERS GAMING

Last week Blazer5 kick-started the 5v5 season in THE TIP OFF tournament where they fiercely battled Kings Guard, T-Wolves and Lakers Gaming.

On Tuesday, May 23 Blazer5 first faced off against a new foe this season, Kings Guard Gaming. This was Blazer5’s first opportunity to showcase their talent as a full team and their chemistry showed through. Early on Blazer5 took a game-changing lead by eight points at 21-13 at the end of Q1. Those early eight points made a huge impact and ultimately made B5 victorious as Q2 and Q4 ended in a tie, while Q3 saw a one-point difference.

Following a great showcase of their team’s strength, Blazer5 moved on to take on T-Wolves Gaming on Wednesday, May 24. In-game Blazer5 fought neck and neck with T-Wolves as Q1 and Q2 saw results within one point of each other, however, Blazer5 was ultimately defeated by T-Wolves Gaming.

Post-game Blazer5 had their own personal win as they unveiled a new B5 game room sponsored by Xfinity at the local Blazers Boys and Girls Club. The game room is full with PlayStation 5 consoles, computers, and furniture. While there, Blazer5 had the opportunity to introduce NBA 2K to youth by playing alongside them on the brand-new equipment.

The final game of the week against Lakers Gaming not only saw Blazer5 have a stellar performance but saw a crucial match-up between number four overall draft pick Claude and number three overall pick Spam1of1. In this match, Claude and the rest of B5 prevailed with a 74-55 victory. NBA 2K also recognized Harby as “Top Performance of the Night” as he earned 22 points, 6 assists, and a 9-10 FGA/FGM.

This week Blazer5 will take on 3v3 championship winner, DUX Infinitos in two games as well as Grizz Gaming in the final match of the week.
