Leader of the Month – Allissa Van Order
Allissa has several passions in the community. Her biggest role is with YWCA Clark County, a local nonprofit that includes helping domestic violence and sexual assault victims, transitioning young adults in foster care, connecting care services to those needing access, caring for preschool children through a therapeutic model, and so much more. Allissa’s organizational and leadership skills are exceptional to say the least. She’s one to take action and initiative on projects on the philanthropy team. Allissa’s approach is inspiring and encouraging all the while being compassionate, which can be hard to find. She displays great characteristics of a leader & she’s one to always go above and beyond without asking.
Not only does Allissa serve the community but she also works in real estate on the side. She has a wide range of interests that will impress you with her knowledge. Allissa also grew up as an Army Brat, so she has moved around the nation with her family. (Army Brat: a child of a career soldier, especially one who has lived in various places as a result of military transfers).
What is Leader of the Month?
The Oregon National Guard and Blazer5 Gaming have teamed up to highlight young leaders in the community and celebrate their stories. Each month, the Oregon National Guard will nominate 1-2 young leaders that are working to shape their community – National Guard soldiers and civilians – all working together to lead the way into the future.
