Leader of the Month – Kobe Joseph
Kobe is a local small business owner who prides himself on family and bettering the community. He is currently in the process of opening his second local business – a restaurant named “Mr. J’s Bar and Grill”, located in Gresham (1716 NW Fairview Dr., Gresham, Oregon). Through his new restaurant he is in the process of developing the Mr J’s Bar & Grill charitable golf tournament to benefit the community.
Kobe was nominated as a leader by his friend SGT Pedro Campos, a recruiter in the National Guard. Pedro has been a good friend of Kobe’s for the last 10 years. Kobe says “He’s always been a good man but since he’s joined the Oregon Army National Guard, he walks with his head held high and has a new demeanor about him.
Kobe graduated in 2018 from Reynolds high school. In his spare time, Kobe enjoys time with friends and family, while fishing and golfing.
What is Leader of the Month?
The Oregon National Guard and Blazer5 Gaming have teamed up to highlight young leaders in the community and celebrate their stories. Each month, the Oregon National Guard will nominate 1-2 young leaders that are working to shape their community – National Guard soldiers and civilians – all working together to lead the way into the future.
