Portland sweeps Lakers, improves to .500 ahead of THE TURN

Blazer5 Gaming and Lakers Gaming entered Wednesday’s Week 6 matchup looking to rebound in the second half of the season after they both struggled to start the year. Blazer5 Gaming jumped out to a big lead in both games and kept the pressure on with consistent offense as they cruised to a sweep against Lakers Gaming.
As a team, Blazer5 Gaming went 9-for-14 from the field en route to 21 first-quarter points that propelled them to a 21-12 lead at the end of the first quarter of Game 1. ReeseDaGod and Seese each contributed six points and were the only players to score for Lakers Gaming in the period.
BreadwinnerLA cashed a three-pointer with five seconds left as Blazer5 Gaming kept the pressure on with consecutive 20-plus point quarters. Scretty finished the first half with a game-high 12 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the field and led Blazer5 Gaming to a 41-24 halftime lead. Seese paced Lakers Gaming with 10 first-half points, shooting 4-for-4 from the field and 2-for-2 from three.
After Lakers Gaming cut the lead to nine early in the second half, Blazer5 Gaming outscored them 14-3. G O O F Y 7 5 7 dunked with five seconds left in the third quarter to give Blazer5 Gaming a 65-45 lead.
Lakers Gaming crawled back in the fourth quarter thanks to some hot shooting, but they were ultimately unable to get many defensive stops. Blazer5 Gaming scored 20-plus points in every quarter on their way to a 87-70 victory. Bash paced all players with 30 points and 16 assists, while Scretty added 24 points and four assists. ReeseDaGod led Lakers Gaming with 20 points and six assists, while Krazy posted 14 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block.
Bash went 4-for-5 from the field en route to nine first-quarter points as Blazer5 Gaming took a 23-16 lead into the first break of Game 2.
Lakers Gaming failed to connect on a pair of attempts close to the basket as the first half ended with them trailing 45-34. Bash continued his excellent play and registered 18 points and 11 assists in the first half, while G O O F Y 7 5 7 tallied 14 points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal. BOHIO and Krazy scored 10 first-half points apiece.
Randomz connected on a three-pointer with under a second left in the third frame to extend Blazer5 Gaming’s lead to 66-48 going into the fourth quarter.
Lakers Gaming cut into the lead during the fourth quarter but once again struggled to slow down Blazer5 Gaming’s offense. Bash dominated Game 2 with 28 points and 21 assists, while G O O F Y 7 5 7 notched 22 points, 11 rebounds and five assists.
